Trauma NB’s Mobile Simulation Program: An Accredited Simulation Activity
We are excited to announce that Trauma NB’s Mobile Simulation Program is now recognized as an Accredited Simulation Activity through the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. The peer-review process of this accreditation ensures that the Trauma NB Mobile Simulation Program is a national leader in pedagogical design and program infrastructure, while also housing expert faculty members, a curriculum focused on quality of care and patient safety, that is based in the Canadian Medical Education Directives for Specialists (CanMEDS) framework, and has the academic and scientific foundation to position the Trauma NB as evidence-based and best-practice leaders in Continuing Medical Education (CME) through Simulation Education.
This accomplishment is a move toward Trauma NB achieving its mission of Excellence in Trauma Care, Injury Prevention, Education and Research through its vision of National leadership in trauma system performance. This accomplishment would not be possible without the dedicated learners who participate in the program, the passionate and gifted faculty members, and support from Trauma NB’s partners, Vitalité and Horizon Health Networks, Ambulance New Brunswick (ANB), and the New Brunswick Department of Health.
