About Us
We’re here to make a difference in injury prevention and trauma care in New Brunswick.
Trauma NB is committed to helping reduce injuries, ensure coordinated trauma care, and provide education and research opportunities. Trauma NB is a formal partnership of Horizon Health Network, Vitalité Health Network, Ambulance New Brunswick and the New Brunswick Department of Health. This model is unique in Canada because each of New Brunswick’s regional health authorities, the provincial ambulance service provider and the department of health are all equal partners in the program. This allows us to work together to create a single, integrated system of care for people who are seriously or critically injured in the province. Additionally, we engage with community partners on injury prevention initiatives. Our core functions are providing support to health care professionals working in trauma care and providing New Brunswickers with injury prevention resources.
